Coco's Foundation Update

For many years now, Kids Like Us has been a supporter of the Coco’s Foundation. In the past, we have been able to host fundraising events, like our Walk for Water, but now we are able to share with you where your money has gone.

Your money has been supporting the children of Midiwe School in South Africa. Around 60-70% of the children who attend this school are orphans, this is where our support makes a difference.

Through our support, the Coco’s Foundation has started its own breakfast club. This ensures that the children get at least one filling meal of porridge every. single. day. This video explains, from personal experience, just how important this meal is for these children, and how grateful they are to receive it.

Whilst the COCO’s company is best known in the village for their hairdressing skills, Chris and his team at the Coco’s Foundation have been supporting children in SA for the past 11 years. Many of the children they support have lost their birth mothers, with older family members, siblings, neighbours, and friends selflessly taking up the mother’s role. They are committed to the continuous support of these children, and are now out in the community in SA, building houses for child-headed families.
